Mesmerising Pluto takes 248 years to do one revolution around the Sun.

Not a single one of us will live long enough to experience our own Pluto return, and our children won’t live long enough to witness that date, either!

However, America is currently experiencing her first Pluto return since the declaration of independence was signed back on the 4th of July 1776.

Just because we won’t see our own Pluto return, doesn’t mean we won’t feel the impact of Pluto in our lives at one point or another.

In fact, depending on your planetary placements you may already have a pretty good understanding of the impact planetary wrecking-ball Pluto can have.

If like myself, you’ve had Pluto transit any one of your planets, you’ll have been taken into the underworld and experienced the challenges and riches it has to offer.

In fact, due to the nature of planetary timing we all experience the Pluto Square at about 36-61 years of age (one quarter of his orbit from his natal position in your chart) which is a period of personal regeneration.

Pluto transits revel a darker undercurrent, a period where we have to be authentic and truthful with ourselves, and accept things that are beyond our control.

Also known as the higher octave of Mars, Pluto’s presence in our charts and relationship to other planets can also indicate where we have astute observational abilities, where we feel drawn to the darker, hidden aspects of life, and are tempted by the forbidden fruits of taboo.

Pluto transits can make us feel awakened, alive and full of vitality. They can also take us to hell and back.

In this episode of The Stellium Astrology Podcast I talk about some of the key concepts of Astrological Pluto without being too intense, in the hope of enriching your connection to our intense and non-negotiable God of the underworld.

It may be difficult for Emma Lee to tap into her personal power, and she may engage in activities of self-sabotage. However, when other people disempower her, she will have to dig deep to realise her personal worth and empower herself to transcend these situations, and be true to herself.

Dreamy Neptune takes 164.8 years to orbit the Sun. It will never return to it’s natal position in our lifetime.

But that doesn’t mean we won’t feel the impact of Neptune in our lives at one point or another.

Depending on your planetary placements, you may already have a pretty good understanding of the solar system’s intangible planet and what to expect when he seeps into your life!

In fact, due to the nature of planetary timing we all experience the Neptune Square at about 40-41 years of age – one quarter (90°) of his orbit from his natal position in your chart.

This is a time where we have to be softer with ourselves, exercise compassion and avoid self-destructive hobbies in favour of developing a deeper spiritual connection – it isn’t always as simple as that, though.

Our natal placement of Neptune can indicate where we feel victimised or want to save others, where me might wish to avoid responsibility, or struggle to implement healthy boundaries.

Also known as the higher octave of Venus, Neptune’s presence in our charts and relationship to other planets can also indicate where we have poetic or creative ability, how we show compassion and where we yearn for something more than the fruits of material existence.

In this episode of The Stellium Astrology Podcast I talk about some of the key concepts of Astrological Neptune without being too wishy-washy, in the hope of enriching your connection to our mysterious and ethereal sea God.

Oops!

At 59 minutes I say “the Descendant describes our journey into the world and the birth process”. This is not true! What I meant to say was The Ascendant describes our journey into the world and the birth process. I obviously got myself muddled in a cloud of Neptunian confusion!

Subscriber Charts

Subscriber Laura's natal chart

This chart has dreamy Neptune rising in the final (anaretic) degree of Sagittarius.

Neptune is known from creating confusion and clouding judgement, and the Ascendant is the most time-sensitive part of the natal chart. It is entirely affected by the time of birth and the rest of the chart’s planetary placements are dependant on the accuracy of this one point of the horoscope.

Laura has heard many conflicting accounts times she was born, and her mother didn’t have the best memory of the birth time, herself. Who can blame anyone for not clock-watching when having a baby! I’m pretty sure it was the last thing on her mind!

So interestingly, having Neptune rising in this case is quite fitting. Whether or not the birth time is accurate, the fact the God of chaos Neptune is placed so close to the ascendant indicates total confusion around the birth time, and adds the element of synchronicity around the current calculated birth time.

Ringed Planet Uranus has an erratic spin which means he is on his side as he orbits the Sun. Perhaps this is part of the quirkiness which lends to his reputation as a bit of an unconventional odd-ball planet.

Uranus transits aren’t as feared as Saturn transits. However, they can have a big impact which can bring on enormous change, both internally, externally, and collectively.

Uranus can prompt awakenings triggered by “eureka” moments and is considered the higher octave of cognitive Mercury.

Due to the speed of the transpersonal planets, we all have similar transits during our mid-life which impact us all around the same age, much like the Saturn Return at age 29.

Uranus takes 84 years to do a full revolution around the Sun, and at around the age of 42, all of us go through the Uranus opposition or half-Uranus cycle as it also known. Most people will recognise this transit as the “mid-life crisis” where we do all sorts of crazy things like walking out on relationships after many years or quitting a job, getting a tattoo and buying a flashy sports car.

In this episode of The Stellium Astrology Podcast I talk about some of the key concepts of Astrological Uranus without being too off-the-wall with my explanations, in the hope of awakening your connection to the solar systems’ most rebellious planet.

Here we have Uranus Rising in the Venus ruled sign of Libra. Most people with Libra rising have an attractiveness about them, so perhaps with Uranus rising in this signs, Carolina bay be unconventionally beautiful.

As Libra is the sign of relationships, there may be an unconventional attitude towards relationships, too, as most people born with Uranus in this sign witnessed revolutionary attitudes towards marriage, partnerships and relating.

Fortunately Carolina has Mercury in open-minded Sagittarius in conjunction with Venus, her chart ruler. These two planets are sextile Uranus (60° away give or take a 4° buffer either side) which mean Uranus is expressed through her communication style, inspiring others with her and interest in humanitarian causes.

Leflora

Subscriber Leflora's natal chart

Subscriber Leflora has Uranus rising in Sagittatrius – as if Sag wasn’t freedom loving enough already?! And look at that gorgeous Moon–Jupiter conjunction in Uranus-ruled Aquarius. This is definitely a freedom loving chart, someone who needs to do things her own way.

As you can see Leflora actually has a pretty huge Sagittarius stellium as it is, but with Uranus in the mix, she may not be your typical Sagittarius. Uranus is in conjunction with her Sun so there may be a sense of unconventionality, she may be into alternative ways of celebrating her spiritual or religious ideals – if she has any at all.

Uranus rising in her chart may cause Leflora to reject religious or spiritual ideals in favour of a more unique and person centred connection to her higher self. It may also cause her to feel like an outsider wherever she goes, but she may prefer to be outside of convention rather than fitting in to something that feels so alien to her.

Ringed-planet Saturn is the second of two social planets in our solar system.

Transits from Stoic Saturn are a formidable prospect. And there’s a reason Saturn is so intimidating: He demands your respect and will only reciprocate when you have earned his. Saturn teaches us about limitation and ensures we are truly on our correct course in life.

But fear not – it’s not all bad when it comes to Saturn. He can provide clarity, structure, confidence and accountability. All you have to do is put in the time and effort and he’ll leave you with a very respectable badge of survival honour!

In this episode of The Stellium Astrology Podcast I talk about some of the key concepts of Astrological Saturn without being too strict, in the hope of crystallising your understanding of the Zodiac’s most rewarding teacher.

It is rumoured that she would eat up to 9 eggs a day, I can’t even begin to fathom how constipated she must have been! But then, nothing sends a firmer message of “I’m in charge” to the bowels than someone who refuses to let the bodily functions do their thing as and when they please.
