Just before I move away from the houses discussion, I want to briefly discuss a different way of dividing the chart and viewing the houses.

By dividing houses into their associated mode or quadruplicity, the houses fall into three categories:

  1. Anglar
  2. Succeedent
  3. Cadent

Angular Houses

The houses that line up with the angles: 1 & 7, 4 & 10 are the Angular houses.

Succedent Houses

The houses that follow: 2 & 8, 5 & 11 are the Succedent houses.

Cadent Houses

The remaining houses, 3 & 9, 6 & 12 are the Cadent houses.

Viewing the houses with this added dimension adds to the understanding and art of interpretation.

For example: with Aries on the cusp of the 2nd house, you can still have a slow and considered approach, or perhaps the desire to build and accumulate in this area of your life, but you’ll approach these matters in an Aries way.

You can still apply these rules when using equal house division (rather than a system like Placidus), and where the ‘floating MC’ falls will give you further detailed clues to the type of work you do and what you are known for.

I hope you enjoy the show and can explore this concept in your own natal charts to understand yourselves though this added dimension of house division!

Angular, Succedent & Cadent Houses

Angular Houses

The houses that line up with the angles: 1 & 7, 4 & 10 are considered Angular houses which have a sense of cardinality, action and ‘getting stuff done’ about them. They’re the fast-moving, action oriented power-points of the horoscope.

Succedent Houses

The houses that follow: 2 & 8, 5 & 11 are the Succedent houses which have a sense of fixity about them, a slow, focussed and accumulating energy. They’re the building houses of the horoscope which are powerful, though not as power-packed as the angular houses.

Cadent Houses

The remaining houses, 3 & 9, 6 & 12 are the Cadent houses which have a mutable feel about them, with a sense of fluidity, going with the flow, and a dispersed output. These are the transitional low-power areas of the horoscope.

We’ve made it! We’ve taken a walk around the twelve houses of the horoscope exploring the relationship between the dualities of the houses.

And now we find ourselves concluding our journey at the points of service and resignation: the 6th and 12th houses.

This 6th house is where we find our routine, our personal patterns that we can settle into. It’s where we go out into the world and make a personal contribution, and where we go to work to pay the bills.

It is also where we meet the people we see as part of our daily routine including colleagues, and can describe some of the issues we face through our working relationships.

On the opposite side of the horoscope, the unboundaried 12th house is where we reach a point where we no longer wish to participate in Earthly matters and get ready to return to the source we came from.

It’s not good enough to work for selfish reasons, in the 12th house we want to offer ourselves selflessly to humanity and the collective cause.

We do need to be careful that we don’t pass up opportunities and sabotage ourselves by being too trusting – this is the area of the chart which describes the type of self-sabotage we engage in, and also where we don’t recognise when people DON’T have our best interests at heart.

I hope this episode of the podcast helps you to recognise what you need to feel fulfilled in your daily life, and how you can connect with a meaningful existence which inspires you to keep on giving!

The Spice Girls said it best: “If You Wannabe My Lover, You’ve Gotta Get With My Friends”

The 5th–11th house polarity primarily deals with friends and lovers, our unique individual talents and how we find our place in the world.

The 5th house is a place where we indulge in our passions, and do the things that make our heart sing. In life, it is the stage where we become independent from our families and discover what makes us happy regardless of other people’s approval.

This is the house related to creativity. Though each sign of the zodiac has it’s own type of creativity, the 5th house is where we learn how to tap into the people, places and activities which make our little light within, shine. It is also indicates where we can develop our own unique creativity, including the ultimate creative act of all: sex.

On the opposite side of the horoscope, the 11th house is a place of friendships, social connections and community. It’s where we find people who share our visions and goals, and join up as a team to execute our shared plans, and describes the places where we will meet these people and have these experiences.

I hope this episode of the podcast helps you to recognise your own unique gifts and shows you who and where you can meet the people who will celebrate you in all your glory!

We’ve made it halfway through our journey around the houses and find ourselves at the 4th and 10th house polarity also known as the Midheaven and Immum Coeli, stretching up to the top of the heavens, and reaching down to the bottom of the heavens respectively.

Also known as the parental axis as well as the home and career polarity, it is here where we settle into our roots and find a sense of belonging through our past and our comfort zone, and also where we look up and stare up at our role models and the people we aspire to emulate in the future.

The depths of the 4th house and IC are the psychological basement and our most subconscious realm. So this is where we may discover experiences where we allow our auto-pilot to kick in.

But this may not always be a welcome survival mechanism – how we relate to this untapped realm is revealed by the IC/4th house and the planets that we find there, whether productive or not.

On the flip side, the 10th house and MC (Midheaven) is where we are our most public, and displays the qualities we are happy for the world to know about us.

Planetary transits to this polarity can shape who we are and leave a lasting impression on the MC.

But this simple explanation of the MC/IC axis really doesn’t do these houses any justice – like the entire subject of astrology, it’s a lifetime of in-depth study when you really sink your teeth into it.

However, I’ve done what I can to highlight some of the more interesting facets of the MC/IC axis for you to explore in your own charts and I’ve discussed a subscriber chart, too!

I hope this episode helps you get in touch with who you truly are and what you were born to be.

Moving out of the possessive and pinned-down 2nd & 8th houses we progress into the foot-loose polarity of the 3rd & 9th houses – areas of ideas and visions which inspire us to learn, teach, equip and reach for bigger and better things.

Knowledge is power and this see-saw offers us the experiences to form opinions, develop ourselves and aim higher in life.

These houses describe the places where we learn as we gather knowledge, develop and grow in youth and adolescence, and also where we go to develop ourselves and our particular interests and specialities as adults.

But this may not be confined to specific learning venues as such – these houses describe places where we expand our consciousness through travel, adventure and meaningful experiences.

In fact, these houses describe the places where we ‘find ourselves’ as our horizons broaden through education and experiences which teach us all about ourselves.

Networking, broadcasting and sharing a message is key for planets found in these areas as we make sense of the world and build a sense of meaning in the world around us. Meaning which is personal to us.

Life is one long lesson!

Watch Journey to the Edge of the Universe

As mentioned in this episode, I absolutely LOVE this film! There are two versions of this film available on YouTube, one is narrated by Alec Baldwin and the other by Sean Pertwee. They are word for word so it depends on your preference between the US or UK accent! I own both versions on DVD like any good Gemini Rising would! I highly recommend that you watch this, it’s fascinating, scary, humbling and reassuring all at the same time.

(I’ve opted for Alec Baldwin below because he has such drama in his voice!)

Following on from last week’s episode, the 2nd and 8th houses in the horoscope reveal in further depth the development of self, our possessive natures and the complexities of commitment.

On this part of the journey we learn about the polarities between personal and shared values and how much we invest in others vs how much we are prepared to invest in ourselves.

These houses are associated with wealth and security. They are also about confidence and willingness to develop ones-self through building existing skills, access to other people’s resources, and adorning ourselves and our surroundings with objects which represent value to us. Why? Because you’re worth it.

Currency is symbolic of the energetic essence of trade. Therefore the second and eighth houses represent not only the material aspects of financial exchange, but also the willingness to exchange ‘currency’ for deed, and the essence of promises, commitments and debt, whether financial, energetic or spiritual.

The saying “there’s no such thing as a free lunch” can be applied to this polarity because wherever you receive there’s space for you to give – try as we might, It’s impossible to pour from an empty jug.

Getting a bit deep? Well, this is the place where deep reflection occurs. Whereas the second house is concerned with building self-worth, financial security and our personal value system, the eighth house is more concerned about crystallising connections, exploring the mysteries of the human condition and the destruction of superficiality.

Intrigued? You should be! Join me as I explore this fascinating house polarity in the charts of celebrities and subscribers.

In this week’s episode I discuss the ascendant and descendant, also known as the relationship axis.

The ascendant is directly opposite the Descendant and the connecting line between these two points marks the horizon where we see the Sun rise in the East and set in the West. This is why the ascendant is also known as the rising sign.

During this week’s episode I talk about the wheel of the horoscope and cover some aspects which are very quick to identify and interpret, based on where planets are located in the chart.

The chart can be broken up into hemispheres, horizons and quadrants which can reveal a lot about how we view the world and how we interact with the world around us.

I decided not to interpret any subscriber charts this week and ask you to observe which planets you have in certain sectors of your chart, and whether you agree with some of the points made during the episode – If you do, let me know by getting in touch with me!

Instagram is a good way to get in touch – message @stelliumastro and let me know what you think!

The Wheel of the Horoscope

The Pillars of the Horoscope: The AC–DC and the MC–IC Axes

The Wheel of the Horoscope - the Ac-Dc & Mc-Ic Axes

AC–DC: The Relationship Axis

The Rising (AC) and Setting signs (DC) on the natal chart are an intrinsic and major detail which are time and location sensitive, hence the importance that your birth time is accurate.

As an Axis, the sign and degrees of the AC–DC will be exactly opposite and work together. When one side is affected, the other is, too! this also applies to the MC–IC axis (see below).

The Ascendant is the moment of birth, our entry into the world, our personality, personal experience and self. The zodiac sign rising over the Eastern horizon colours our entire outlook and perspective of this area of the chart.

The sign setting on the Western horizon (DC) is the opposite of the self, and represents our relationships with others inclusive of romantic, platonic, professional and familial connections.

Above and Below the Horizon

Planets above the horizon in the natal chart are considered diurnal meaning they are exposed by daylight and carry an essence of “what you see is what you get”.

Planets below the horizon are considered nocturnal and concealed by a lack of light. This area of the chart and planets residing within are considered more private and personal, carrying an essence that “there’s more than meets the eye” about the individual.

Above the Horizon - Diurnal
Above the horizon – Diurnal
Below the Horizon - Nocturnal
Below the horizon – Nocturnal

MC–IC: The Parental Axis

This axis is also time and location sensitive and reveals a variety of things including our parental relationships, our past experiences and future aspirations, and our ambitions and goals based on our upbringing and family attitudes towards success and achievement.

The Medium Coeli (MC) is the highest point of intersection between the meridian and the ecliptic and should not be confused with the zenith. As with every axis, the complete zodiac traverses the Medium Coeli once over a one-day period.

The literal translation of Medium Coeli (abbreviation: MC, Latin for: middle of sky) is Midheaven. The Medium Coeli’s opposite is the Imum Coeli (Latin for: deepest of sky).

Astro Wiki

The Midheaven (MC) describes the most public area of the chart and indicates our aspirations, ambitions and role models. It is the point where we leave the comfort, privacy and security of the Immum Coeli (IC) and prioritise our professional goals and vocation.

The Eastern and Western Hemispheres

East side of the chart
Lots of planets on the Eastern hemisphere (left) of the chart indicate self-motivated action-oriented individuals who operate with a sense of free-will
West side of the chart
Lots of planets on the Western hemisphere (right) of the chart indicate receptive, other-person-oriented individuals, who experience fated interactions

The Four Quadrants

When divided into four, the zodiac is split into quadrants which signify stages of development throughout life. It also gives an indication of the essence of the planetary placements/zodiac signs of each quadrant.

Quadrant 1: The early life stages where we are ego-centric, developing our personality and learning about the world around us. Early socialising with siblings, learning about a sense of individuality through interaction. From birth to school age.

Quadrant 2: A graduation from immaturity to standing on our own two feet. Security, individual gifts and talents, wellness and daily rituals, routine and assignments, including familiar faces and colleagues we meet through our routines and work. From late school age to going out into the world of work.

Quadrant 3: The life stage where we work with others, build relationships and grow through our connections with others, and seek deeper meaning. Often to achieve personal goals, aspirations, and beliefs, having families of our own, amassing wealth and navigating the trials of adulthood.

Quadrant 4: Where our personal goals are fulfilled and we desire to leave a legacy. A sense of maturity, rich with the experience of previous life stages, ready to leave our mark on the world and leave it in a better place than we find it, before we feel ready (or not) to leave the earthly plane.

Zodiac Quadrant 4 - Maturity
Quadrant 4: Maturity
Zodiac Quadrant 4 - Child
Quadrant 1: Child
Zodiac Quadrant 3 - Adult
Quadrant 3: Adult
Zodiac Quadrant 2 - Youth
Quadrant 2: Youth

Uranus enters Taurus on the 15th May 2018 and the 6th March 2019. After that, he will stay in Taurus until April 26th 2026.

The last time Uranus entered Taurus was between 1934 to 1942 – lots of us weren’t born then so this will be a new experience! This is a big transit, which will affect us all – some more than others.

Taurus the bull is known for her tenacity and relies on predictability and routine. Holding on and resisting is her knee jerk reaction to change. Taurus also has great manifesting ability and command of the material realm. With Uranus entering Taurus, change and instability will be introduced which will feel natural to some and not-so natural to others.

It is far easier to allow the new path to form in front of you; don’t keep trying to squelch through the muddy path that you thought you were supposed to travel! Let go.

Uranus will shake the foundations in your life and help you build stronger ones. You could be picked up and turned a full 180 degrees! One thing’s for sure, you will be awakened to flaws and moved to take action.

Uranus shows us the potential to bring in great change – In order to do this we must wake up to what needs changing. If you can’t let go, it will feel like you are being repelled, as opposed to being instrumental in your decision making making process. Take the path of least resistance.

Of course this is based on your sun-sign, and ascendant sign alone, so if you need a deeper and more personal interpretation, you can book a reading with me.

Uranus

  • Spends approximately 7-9 years in a sign
  • Takes 84 years to orbit the Sun and do a complete revolution of the Zodiac
  • Hasn’t been in an earth sign for 22 years (when he was in Capricorn)

2018

  • 15th May – Uranus enters Taurus
  • 7th August – Uranus enters retrograde motion
  • 6th November – Uranus retrograde enters Aries

2019

  • 6th January – Uranus enters direct motion
  • 6th March – Uranus re-enters Taurus from Aries

2026

  • April 26th Uranus enters Gemini

What does it mean on a personal level? Read for your your Sun Sign and Ascendant Sign for a deeper understanding of the areas of life which will be affected by this major transit.

Aries Sun/Ascendant

The past 7 years have been about:

Aries, Your entire life has been completely reorganised and it’s likely you are facing a totally different direction than when you started out. You might even look like a completely different person! A total shift in your outlook and modus operandi, you will have made a break for independence from restriction, shunning the cookie-cutter mould in order to express your unique qualities. Wearing your inner truth as your overcoat, you fought the naysayers and learned to have the confidence to walk your own path. It takes gall, self-assurance and courage to go against convention, and those who didn’t see the point in what you were doing now realise your inspired decisions were way ahead of your time.

The next 8 years will be about:

Having spent so much time crafting your unique ability, you will now start to see the value in what you do. Your priorities and self-worth will get a shake-up with changes in your financial outlook, commodities and values. Self-employment, freelancing, or unconventional employment, the desire for financial freedom will drive you to tap into your own earning potential and do things your own way. Drawn to spending your energy wisely, you will want to increase the quality of content in what you do, rather than spreading yourself too thin and not being appreciated for making the extra effort. This turnaround could be reflected in your surroundings and you may have a sudden need to get rid of objects you accumulated over the years; it might be that these objects no longer ‘define’ who you are or what you represent – or you just need more space from all the clutter. Possessions of a farther reaching and unconventional realm my appeal more, perhaps gifts with a personal touch from friends.

Taurus Sun/Ascendant

The past 7 years have been about:

Waking up to ideas bigger than yourself and wanting to change humanity in some way, the past few years have been about giving back, fighting a cause, or going on a spiritual mission. A period of down-time, you will have done a lot of behind the scenes work which has slowly built on your public image and reputation. During this transitional period you may have been working against the tides with revelations that people near to you haven’t always had your best interests at heart. Searching for a deeper meaning, and giving purpose to your life’s journey, you feel like it is time to see a return on your contribution.

The next 8 years will be about:

You have likely felt the approach of Uranus as the desire to make changes in your life. An image overhaul, being open to a completely different lifestyle and craving for different types of food; the external changes represent how you identify with yourself on a core-level representing the changes occurring there. The time and effort spent building your reputation over the past few years will take you on a few unexpected twists and turns, and things may not be quite as you expected them to be, particularly in the area of career. This may be a surprise initially, but over time you will find firm footing and new comfort in your role, in a way that suits you and your new-found quirks. During this time, the recognition and respect you desire at work can be achieved, but only by creating your own foundations and building on your personal vision of how things should be done. This may be difficult to implement initially, but the grit and determination of the Bull has amazing stamina and consistency, even when the world around her is unstable. The veil is being lifted to reveal a life you’ve never considered – Your own personal Shambhala!

Gemini Sun/Ascendant

The past 7 years have been about:

You will have been working on your friendships and communities. From the big changes in your social groups, some of your friendships will have dropped away with some people being cut off all together. As your interests and life changes have taken you on your own unique journey, some of your friends didn’t join you for the ride. However, you will have also found that you have met lots of new friends along the way and are now part of a community of people who share your outlook, ideas and goals.

The next 8 years will be about:

You will feel a pull towards work which feeds the soul. Often this is through charity, humanitarian or service oriented work; what you do needs to serve you spiritually whilst marrying your dreams with the physical realm. Be aware that you are entering a place where the motives of others will not be clear and you mustn’t sacrifice your own opportunities during this time. You may find that you are more aware of your carbon footprint and your impact on the planet prompting a more eco-friendly and minimalistic way of living. Travel could be more of a feature in your life, as well as working with the communities you have developed over the past few years in order to create a collective project of some kind. This could involve connecting people with great distance between them to meet on an educational level. You could find that you spend more time in exotic locations, travelling, teaching or just expanding your mind and outlook in general. You may feel a sudden change to location is required and being drawn to living or working abroad will be giving you some food for thought right now.

Cancer Sun/Ascendant

The past 7 years have been about:

Your entire professional outlook has changed from the start of this transit. Your career will have been through a transformative process, scraping the bottom of the barrel in order to bring the goods to the surface. It is likely you were micro-managed and placed under firm rule by your superiors awakening you to the benefits of working in professions which allow you freedom and autonomy. Your desire to offer something of substance in the work that you do encouraged your to develop your analysis and investigation skills. It is likely that you changed jobs a more than once, or become self-employed.

The next 8 years will be about:

You will now be focussed on contributing towards a shared goal perhaps with a technological or ‘world’ concept, bringing people together and connecting people with a common interest or need. The desire to leave a legacy and contribute to a project of real substance is a reality for you now. Taking part in a project which allows you to give something back to the wider community, you are able to add your personal touch to a creative project, bringing your ideas into the physical dimension. Revelations about existing friendships will be part of your process during this time; your friends see you as a consistent and reliable person and you may find you become a confidante for those having issues with your ability to dig under the surface and uncover the root of issues leading to friends referring to your counsel. Being naturally good at knowing what people need, you might even find yourself running a community of your own in your spare time, or looking for a community of like-minded people that you can connect with.

Leo Sun/Ascendant

The past 7 years have been about:

You will have noticed big changes in your inclination towards adventure, overseas travel and other cultures. You could have been on a number of spontaneous holidays or even decided to relocate to another country (or a considerable distance to what you call home). You might have fallen in love with someone from a different cultural background – or perhaps the adventure of the past few years was too big to consider that type of commitment. However, the people you met had a big impact on your life and may have inspired you to expand your horizons. A desire to gain deeper intellectual enrichment may have lead to you to pursuing courses of higher education or even teaching.

The next 8 years will be about:

You can now apply the knowledge and experience of the past few years to your profession. Initially you might decide that the career path you are on isn’t quite for you, or the rigid 9-5 isn’t giving you the freedom you desire in order to express your true creativity. Your eyes and heart will be opened and you could find that romance is on the cards for you in the workplace. If you aren’t looking for a relationship, work provides an opportunity for you to meet people who have a big impact on your reputation. Hierarchy isn’t of particular importance to you as you seek to do something of substance, wanting to contribute to the good of humanity and help others rather than serving your own ego. Learning a lot about your personal motivations and drive through your professional and personal engagements, you could revolutionise your career by becoming well known in a counselling or therapeutic capacity. One thing’s for sure: for you to be happy you will need to do things on your own terms, which might be unconventional.

Virgo Sun/Ascendant

The past 7 years have been about:

You will have seen changes in your shared wealth and values. From deeper commitments to relatives and those you are bound to by law, to signing contracts and handling other people’s assets; you could have received money through inheritance, or decided to take an early retirement. The pursuit for freedom in your daily routine has empowered you to let go of baggage and expectations, allowing you to break away from ingrained behaviour patterns holding you back. A deeper interest in diet, health and medicine has turned your interest to psychological dynamics, heightening your intuitive ability to recognise other people’s motivations.

The next 8 years will be about:

You have a new lease of life and you want to share your discoveries with other people. Your entire outlook and personal philosophy is complemented by this transit allowing you to see tangible results for your efforts with the ability to implement long term change. It is likely you will relocate – you could end up in a completely different country by the end of this transit, or much farther from home than you had even envisaged. You may discover that you have a gift for teaching, sharing your knowledge and experience with others whilst learning through the process. Developing spiritual, religious or philosophical connections in your relationship with the day-to-day will give you the faith to follow your bliss. Discovering your own personal language to communicate directly with your higher-self, your connection to deeper-meaning comes directly through the body. Physical activities like sport, yoga, martial arts and dance are a type of worship that marry beauty, ritual and discipline, which you find appealing. You could also experience a compulsion to learn or write and may decide to go into higher education, set up a blog, or have work submitted for publication.

Libra Sun/Ascendant

The past 7 years have been about:

You will have experienced life changing situations and realisations through your romantic and professional partnerships; perhaps your entire perspective on relationships has changed enabling you to embrace an unconventional set-up. Lessons about compromise and tolerance, as well as rejection and instability may have featured for you, strengthening your appreciation for the ‘imperfections’ in your partner. You may have decided to get hitched and have children or to pursue your hobbies and interests with the one you love. Learning about yourself through your interactions with others which has helped you to discover and refine the unique gifts that you have to offer.

The next 8 years will be about:

Librans enjoy being with other people, but now is the time for a bigger commitment and to create a bond with someone who is in alignment with your values. If you have been thinking of setting up your own business, you could end up in a joint professional enterprise. If you have been in a serious relationship, you might feel ready to take things to the next level and apply for a mortgage loan together. It could go completely the other way and you could decide that you want freedom from your existing commitments. Finances are indicated and you may suddenly have more money. However, a thorough review of your financial situation could be in order to meet the commitments you wish to make. Dealings with estate agents, solicitors or middle-men who moderate your finances and legal obligations could be a more frequent presence. Entering contractual agreements may impede your freedom to do the things you love on a whim. Being drawn to unusual and alternative subjects, your hobbies could take you down the path of psychology, mysteries and the occult – peering below the surface may become the scab you just can’t stop picking! However from the right angle and with enough cash, you could take some time out to pursue your passions and turn them into a money making venture.

Scorpio Sun/Ascendant

The past 7 years have been about:

With changes at work and disruptions to your daily routine, your daily philosophy and lifestyle have been reevaluated. Your diet may have had a serious overhaul and you might not be able to eat the things you used to, or perhaps you decided to become more experimental. Taking an independent approach to your health you will have been drawn to holistic systems which heal the mind and the body as one. You will have discovered the understanding that work has to be on your own terms and fit in with your family life – perhaps freelancing and self employment is more suitable for you than working for others.

The next 8 years will be about:

It’s time for excitement! Uranus is entering your house of relationships, both romantic and professional. Expect the people you meet to be quirky, outside the box and completely refreshing. If you already have a partner, it might be time to shake things up and introduce an element of spontaneity to your relationship. Perhaps it’s not the routine that needs changing? With the types you normally attract being reliable and consistent (sometimes stubborn and controlling), you may find yourself craving someone who goes against the grain – a rebel without a cause! Or your partner might start behaving in completely unexpected and unusual ways. During this time you will learn a lot about yourself and what you want through your interactions with others; consider that we attract what we can’t integrate within our own psyche. Look at what annoys and upsets you in who you attract as your projected flaws and understand that they represent the qualities you are blind to in yourself. People you attract during this time may hold the key to your past, helping to make sense of your subconscious emotional drives. Your family life and location may shift – but once you find the place to lay your foundations, they will be solid and strong.

Sagittarius Sun/Ascendant

The past 7 years have been about:

You will have had to work through some creative blockages. With a rebellious and intuitive streak which puts you ahead of your peers, others telling you to use the ‘tried and tested’ method have served only to push you closer to your own source of genius. Children may have enriched your life, though their presence may not have been through the most conventional of routes. Learning to embrace a ‘carpe diem’ attitude, has lead you to a richer, more meaningful life experience connecting you to a true creative source of your own and you have found value in making times for your hobbies and doing things for the sheer pleasure of them.

The next 8 years will be about:

Uranus’ influence for the past 7 years has had a positive impact on you. Expect to feel a shift in your daily routine, lifestyle and health. It is likely that if you are dissatisfied in your work, Uranus’ arrival in Taurus will motivate you to make changes – this can be sudden – don’t be too hasty! Instability and a lack of security could leave you feeling off-kilter. Learning to work with an unpredictable schedule initially is essential in order to build foundations during this time; you can establish something very personal and original through your work, which will be implemented long-term. You may feel a huge disruption in your daily routine whether you introduce changes yourself, or the changes arise through an external situation. You could suddenly be drawn to working in a completely different sector. Though it isn’t all about work – lifestyle and health are indicated too and you may feel drawn to a more alternative and holistic method when it comes to your health and dietary needs. Becoming more body-focussed and embracing a new lifestyle could result as you are awakened to the impact daily life has on your body.

Capricorn Sun/Ascendant

The past 7 years have been about:

You will have gone through some big changes in your home life, not only through the location of your home but with your role within the family and who you are at the core of your being. Experiencing distance or separation from family in some way or another and big changes in your homelife have prompted you to be more independent and self-reliant. Investigating your roots, you dared to reach farther than ever before, in order to really know yourself and stand taller. On this journey, you may have discovered a new family made up of those who you share a sense of kinship and common purpose.

The next 8 years will be about:

When Uranus enters Taurus, what you consider to be pleasurable may change, or you may reject the conventional types of ‘fun’. If you have been a busy hardworking Cappy, now is the time for enjoyment to be introduced in your life. Imagination and original ideas will get a sudden boost, ready for a new dimension of output for your creative plans. A sudden childlike joy de vivre will be apparent in you. Seeing the world through the eyes of a child, having an appreciation for innocence and simplicity – this is a time for you to leave your individual mark upon the world through your creative gift. You might turn 180° on an idea you thought you were dead-set on; the idea of having children, or getting involved in a romantic endeavour. A desire to perform or embrace the spotlight, a more theatrical and outgoing element to your work could occur as a result of this transit. There may be a shift in attitude where you understand you can earn money from your hobbies and interests, or you learn to celebrate and value your creative gifts as they begin to produce tangible results.

Aquarius Sun/Ascendant

The past 7 years have been about:

You have had to work on knowledge, communication and your place in the neighbourhood. Being seen locally as an independent force, it is likely you have been working on asserting yourself, saying what you think and inspiring others to embrace their individuality. Motivated to share with your group – perhaps father reaching than local in Aquarius’ case – by developing your knowledge, or drawing attention to your niche, the past 7 years could be described as a personal rebellion, freeing you from convention and setting you apart from your peers in the local community.

The next 8 years will be about:

Uranus will be revolutionsing your home-life over the coming years; family life, home and your roots will be taking an unconventional turn, with the potential of being uprooted and set down in a completely new location. This process will encourage you to exploring the foundations of who you are as a person and your role within your family. Being able to creatively express yourself at home, you might have the sudden urge to redecorate more than once. It could be that you look at a ‘Grand Designs’ project where you tear down a shell of a property and build it up into the type of home that truly expresses you as a person allowing your channel of creativity to flow with ease. Or you could move house a few times. The urge to have a fresh slate and pressing the reset button might have you looking for somewhere to settle and truly lay your foundations – but you have to identify with your new surroundings and it has to be in tune with you. However, the changes go so much further than the general concept of home and family – this is a subconscious awakening; freedom from deep-rooted habits, bonds and family indoctrination handed down through the generations.

Pisces Sun/Ascendant

The past 7 years have been about:

You have had to work on your relationship with money and issues around value and worth. Mastering money-matters will have given rise to challenges causing you to evaluate what is most important to you and how best to manage your financial independence. You can’t sacrifice all your money just because you don’t believe in its material value – you need to get by and money is the energy which allows easy passage on the physical plane. It could be that you found a way without money – a currency of your own.  Your accumulated objects will likely be very unique and quirky.

The next 8 years will be about:

Now Uranus moves into the house of communication you can indulge in an exploration of the mind, expressing your creativity and channelling soulful truths into understandable concepts that people are able to relate to. You will be drawn to finding a local group where you can share your message, network and lay foundations for something which brings the community together in some way. Subconsciously you desire to leave a legacy with your personal fingerprint on the community; a physical mark to create a communal hub where like-minded people can connect. However, you may change your local area and move away from existing familiarity. Educating yourself and signing up to a few courses might be on the cards – perhaps running one will be more up your street. Transport is also indicated so you might decide to learn to drive, or decide to give it up after years of doing so. Your mode of transport may be unusual or perhaps you will decide to take a more eco-friendly approach to the road. Whatever you do, you will want to do things in your own unique way.
