You’re welcome Eva, it’s a fascinating area and we plan to delve deeper. To answer your question, Richard works in an immersive way and has studied the subconscious and journalled for a long time. In fact I believe he studied each of the zodiac signs and planets one year at a time. Can you imagine the determination and focus that kind of commitment requires?! Apologies for only just getting back to you. I think a chart with only hard aspects is certainly destined for a lot of personal growth. When studying counselling skills I learned about “sitting on the growing edge” which is a very apt summary of what your chart sounds like – at times uncomfortable, but daring and proactive. In addition I’d say the moon separating from Saturn describes an inhibited expression of the emotional nature, perhaps the gift of objectivity, while also describing a journey of mastery – learning about acceptable boundaries and saying no without feeling guilt, while also permitting yourself to feel your way through certain situations without trying to have too much control over them.
Squares aren’t bad, these are the character defining aspects which force us to address areas of our life that we’d obliviously cruise through had we a trine, for example. I’m not saying having squares are a picnic. In my case I feel a sense of wanting to continually push myself, resting feels lazy so I find it hard to just ‘be’. But the constant movement and growth prompted by the squares is something I enjoy about myself. Do you recognise this quality? I suppose it depends which planets are square to each other, that said it’s probably a similar feeling regardless as they are all angular and dynamic in your chart.

In relation to someones birth chart, what would you say to a person who only has hard aspects in their chart? Of the Ptolemaic aspects that is. No trines or sextiles. A wider separating conjunction of Saturn and the Moon. All the other planets are in angular houses so they are all squaring or opposing each other. What do you think the good of that is? I’m in need of a little objectivity here.
